(WIVB) – As UB women’s basketball head coach Becky Burke looks at her wife holding their 1-month-old son, she’s filled with a sense of joy and peace. “Having him, going through everything we went through, having your person, it’s just like what more do you want out of your life?” Burke said. While the couple cherishes these moments with their young child dearly, the road to experiencing them was a beautiful, emotional and, sometimes, arduous one.

I honestly try my best to assist and get my team more involved rather than just me being the star player,” Foster said. While Foster is very humble about her accomplishments, her basketball coach, Trey Gardner explains everything Foster does to help the team win.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The last name Robinson is fairly common but it’s very common on the Buffalo Bandits roster. It’s no coincidence there are three players with the last name Robinson as Brandon, Justin and Dylan are all brothers now reunited in “Banditland”. “It’s very cool, I’m on the bench and I’m looking around and I see both my brothers there it’s like wow, we’re here together,” Dylan Robinson said. Brandon is the oldest brother while Justin is the middle and Dylan is the youngest.

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – UB guard Chellia Waston is certainly leaving her mark on this program in just her first season playing for the Bulls. Earlier this month, she scored a school record 47 points in a game against Toledo, the most ever in a game by a men’s or women’s player from UB. “I just feel like I was in a flow, in a good grove, my teammates kept trusting me, kept giving me the ball. I obviously was trusting myself to keep shooting,” Chellia Watson said.
