It is owned by Nexstar Media Group, and it works alongside CBS affiliate WIVB-TV (channel 4) under a duopoly. Both stations have their studios located on Elmwood Avenue in North Buffalo and share transmission facilities in Colden, New York. However, the master control and certain internal functions are managed at the studios of Nexstar's sister station, WWLP, which is an NBC affiliate based in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
