    Ahead of Tartan Day 2025 on 6 April, Historic Environment Scotland (HES) has unveiled a new tartan collection, which is inspired by the dramatic landscape of the Scottish Highlands and the rich cultural heritage and 1,000 year history of Urquhart Castle, on the shores of Loch Ness. Find out about New York Tartan Week 2025 here. The bespoke design for the tartan was created by local tartan mill, Prickly Thistle, and woven by leading tartan manufacturers, Lochcarron of Scotland.

Edinburgh‘s The King’s Gallery was previously known as the Queen’s Gallery and forms part of the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the bottom of The Royal Mile.

    The Atholl Highlanders, Britain’s only private Regiment based at their ancestral home of Blair Castle in Highland Perthshire, have announced that they are honoured to be taking part in New York’s annual Tartan Day Parade on 5 April 2025 for the first time. The event will form part of an 11-day tour of the United States for the regiment, the fourth time in the Highlanders’ history they have taken part in a tour like this.
