Collingwood residents have been evacuated from their homes after a home went up in flames. Neighbours woke to several sirens and a pungent smoke smell after the townhouse on the corner of Alexandra Pde and Budd St caught fire. Firefighters have brought the flames under control and are blowing air into the affected house and neighbouring homes to get rid of the smoke trapped inside. Electricity has also been cut off while emergency services work.
