A new report has found that the Scottish salmon farming industry is using greenwashing tactics and misleading marketing techniques to disguise the true environmental and welfare impact of farmed salmon. Undertaken by independent charity WildFish, the report is titled ‘The Reality Gap: An Examination of Scottish Farmed Salmon’. It highlights discrepancies between the industry’s marketing claims and actual conditions on Scottish salmon farms.
