Not only do you need to set yourself apart from teachers across the nation, but it’s a years-long process that you have to be referred to by your peers in the first place. So it’s a big deal that Ramsey Elementary teacher Emily Payán was just awarded one. It’s even more special since her mother, Margaret Williams, also won the prestigious award during her tenure in the Anoka-Hennepin Public School district.
