CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Crawfish for a Cause returns once again for Buc Days 2025. Every year, the Buccaneer Commission hosts a crawfish cook-off to give back to local non-profits. This year, the event benefits the Wesley Community Center and Junior League of Corpus Christi. Attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish, live music, activities, and more. Cook-off teams will make more than 15,000 pounds of crawfish for those who attend and compete for prizes.

BISHOP, Texas — The Bishop police department named its interim Police Chief. Lieutenant Sarah Torres will assume the role on April 1. Bishop PD made the announcement on Thursday, March 27. Lt. Torres replaces current police chief Edward Day , who announced his resignation earlier this month. He led the police department for five years. Lt. Torres has worked at the Bishop Police Department for over a year as part of the Criminal Investigations division.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is on the hunt for two people involved in a fight that sent a man to the hospital. Police said an argument broke out between a man in his 30's and a woman at the PMI Market off of South Tancahua Street. Moments later, another man showed up and hit the victim. The victim ran off before falling down. Paramedics found him and took him to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
