CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city of Mathis is on the fast track for growth and paving the way is a new Tractor Supply Company. The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new business on Tuesday. The tractor supply company will not only bring more jobs to the area it also means a shorter shopping trips for local business owners. "Everybody's gonna come use it they're not gonna have to go to Calallen, they're not gonna have to go to Sinton." said Mathis City Manager Cedric Davis.

YMCA prepares for first phase of reopening on Thursday

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After almost a week of being closed, the local YMCA of the Coastal Bend is inviting the public back inside in its first phase of a total reopening of the facility. The YMCA closed suddenly last Wednesday for what board members called "a little TLC." That consisted of steam-cleaning carpets, painting walls and wiping down equipment. 3NEWS visited the location off of South Upper Broadway as staff got the last bit of cleaning done before they re-open their doors Thursday.
