The Recovery Yard in Blackwater Village, Castle Talbot has sought retention planning permission to erect a single storey commercial unit to provide leisure/wellness activities including indoor sauna facility. The application proposes alterations to the elevation of the existing structure to provide an additional exit door along with all associated works. The Recovery yard is owned and ran by Conor Prunty who set up the business at the end of 2024.

There was plenty of laughter in St Mogue’s Hall in Inch recently as Coolgreany Drama Group went all out performing two farcical comedies from Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite. Nicola Conroy, Carl Nuzum, Ciara Spelman, Padraig Farrell and Willie Comerford starred in Visitor from Mamaroneck, which was directed by Carl Nuzum. Meanwhile, Visitor from Forest Hills featured Fiona O’Gorman, Mark Canavan, Deirdre Whitmore and Michael Condren and was directed by Niall Hunter.

Now in their sixties with their six children reared, Eugene and Suzanne thought it was now or never to start something new and so they proposed Mc’s Munch Market; a takeaway combined with a shop and café. The opportunity appeared to the husband and wife chef duo when they saw Courtown Caravan Park was looking for someone to take over the building there.

Gardaí caught several vehicles travelling well above the speed limit in north Wexford on National Slow Down Day. Four vehicles were clocked in Gorey and the surrounding areas speeding up to 46kmh above the speed limit on Wednesday, April 9 which is an Garda Síochána's 24 hour national speed enforcement operation, National Slow Down Day supported by the Road Safety Authority. A motorcyclist on the R772 in Inch were caught travelling at 126kmh in an 80km/h zone.
