    MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – CHP reported low visibility resulted in a bicyclist being hit and killed in an unlit area just outside of Merced Tuesday evening. According to the California Highway Patrol, just after 9:30 p.m., they responded to Highway Belcher Avenue west of Highway 59 after receiving reports of a white pick-up truck that hit a bicyclist and fled the scene. The victim was believed to have sustained fatal injuries.
