MANILA, Philippines – Former environment chief Horacio Ramos passed away on Thursday, April 17. He was 80. According to the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), Ramos was the first career official of the DENR to become the environment chief. He was the secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for four months in 2010, the last DENR chief under former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
