Rappler is a news platform located in the Philippines. It started out as a Facebook page named MovePH in August 2011 and transformed into Rappler.com on January 1, 2012. In addition to offering written news articles online, it was one of the first news sites in the Philippines to focus on video news specifically created for its audience. Rappler also makes good use of social media to share news with its followers.
