KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. -- Klamath County has released updated results for the May 21 primary election with 45 out of 45 precincts reporting. According to a news release from the Klamath County Clerk, these are the results. They still have not been certified and remain unofficial. For partisan races, there is one Democratic winner and one Republican winner, and they will face off in the general election this November. These results are only for Klamath County.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. -- Starting June 17, residents will no longer be able to get burn permits for outdoor residential burning. According to a news release from Cal Fire, this suspension bans "all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris such as branches and leaves." "With the threat of wildfires in Siskiyou County, it's not a question if a community will be threatened, but when," Greg Roath, the Cal Fire Siskiyou unit Chief, said in the release.

JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. -- Two women died after crashing into a tree in the 4060 block of Reeves Creek Road in Josephine County yesterday. According to a news release from the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, the women -- 20-year-old Paige Ellen Collyar and 24-year-old Shannon Marie Hewitt -- were found dead at the scene. Collyar was driving and Hewitt was the passenger. "The vehicle was traveling north... at a high rate of speed," the release said.

EAGLE POINT & GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Police searched two houses for child exploitation material yesterday, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office announced today. One of the houses was in Eagle Point and the other was in rural Grants Pass -- however, the cases are not connected. "Detectives are interviewing possible witnesses and involved parties, and investigations are ongoing," JCSO said in a news release.

CURRY, COOS & DOUGLAS COUNTIES, Ore. -- Fire season will begin in Curry County, Coos County and some parts of Douglas County on Friday, the Coos Forest Protective Association announced today. According to the Facebook post, fire season will start at 12:01 a.m. on June 14 and the fire danger level will be "low." This includes "state, private, county, cide and Bureau of Land Magagement (BLM) forestlands" in Coos, Curry and parts of western Douglas County.
