Remote The school board approved two contracts for incoming Superintendent Lisa Sayles-Adams, who was chosen as the district’s new leader at a previous meeting. The first contract will start on Feb. 5, 2024, when she will begin her job, and the second contract was for the next three years, beginning on July 1, 2024. She will earn $107,000 for the five months after she starts and $266,000 per year for the next year, with automatic $5,000 raises each year thereafter.

Remote Council members voted unanimously to forward Margaret Anderson Kelliher’s appointment to the position of City Operations Officer without recommendation to the Thursday, December 7th meeting. Council members received a presentation regarding a legislative directive requesting initial analysis and considerations for converting Nicollet Mall into a pedestrian plaza. Metro Transit will continue to evaluate the options for moving the bus lines into April of 2024.

The committee talked over field trips and graduation requirements, but took no action. The policies will be reviewed at the next meeting of the committee. The committee accepted the other two policies, which were under annual review, with no changes.
