In a game filled with excellent defending, the lone goal came when there were no defenders allowed. Syracuse women’s soccer lost its fourth straight game to No. 8 UNC 1-0 Sunday after a 65th-minute penalty kick put the Tar Heels ahead. Despite an impressive defensive effort from the Orange defense, a costly defensive error gave UNC the lead. “Soccer is a funny sport, right? Sometimes the scoreline doesn’t tell the truth,” head coach Nicky Adams said.

Three players score for the Orange in win before game ended early due to player injury. Sadie Jones A scary sight overshadowed Syracuse women’s soccer Senior Day match against St. Bonaventure Sunday. Sophomore forward Moo Galbus was stretchered off the field after a hard tackle that swept her off the ground into a hard landing. After a 30-minute pause of play, fans at SU Soccer Stadium watched quietly as the ambulance crew delicately handled Galbus.

Syracuse allowed two shots on net and three different players scored in team’s first home game of the year. Matt Hoffman It was home sweet home for the Syracuse Men’s Soccer team Sunday night. No. 25 SU defeated the Purple Eagles of Niagara University 3-0 to open its 2024 home schedule. The Orange Faithful filled the stands in the first home game of the season and contributed to Syracuse’s dominance.

For Colette Hughes, her garden serves as a living memory of her aunt and her mother, both fervent gardeners. Now, it’s a testament to her family, spending hours gardening with her husband, John, and her children. Colette and John have been gardening for as long as they have been married — over half a century. The couple spend their days looking after an array of fruits and vegetables in their makeshift garden that was originally an in-ground pool.

For 85 years, the Scranton Co-Op Farmer’s Market has been a staple of the community. For nearly 75 years, Logan Brace’s family has been a part of it. Brace’s family have owned Brace’s Orchard in Dallas for 196 years. His family sells a variety of fruits, baked goods, and ciders at farmer’s markets across Northeast Pennsylvania. Brace said the Scranton Co-Op provides their largest customer base.
