(CNN) — Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky raised the stakes ahead of a potential meeting with Vladimir Putin in Turkey on Thursday by saying he wouldn’t hold talks with any Russian representative other than the president himself. Asked by CNN about the goals of the possible meeting – a summit Putin has not yet agreed to attend despite proposing it himself, Zelensky said anything other than a ceasefire agreement would be a failure.

Good morning and happy Thursday. Grab the umbrella this morning! Showers will be on and off this morning and throughout the day. We are dry as we head into the weekend. Temperatures will climb into the lower 70s with scattered showers today. I still expect plenty of dry time, just keep the rain gear handy. We will pick up another few tenths of an inch of rainfall today, mainly south of I-70. Overnight tonight temperatures will drop into the upper 40s with decreasing clouds.
Ashland starts work on almost $23 million wastewater expansion project

ASHLAND — Ashland started construction on a nearly $23 million expansion of its wastewater treatment facility as the city continues to grow. The project will more than double the capacity of the facility. "We are at a point where we do need to expand relatively quickly just to meet the current needs of the community but also to address future growth," said Kyle Michel, Ashland city administrator. The city has planned the project for years, which has faced obstacles, including securing funding.
Ambulance stolen from Phelps Health hospital campus

Emergency responders and law enforcement stopped a stolen ambulance with spike strips in the St. James area, according to a news release from Phelps Health. An individual unlawfully entered a Phelps Health ambulance on the hospital campus in Rolla Thursday and drove the vehicle eastbound on Interstate 44, according to the news release. No injuries were reported to the suspect, the public or any emergency personnel, according to the news release.
