NORWALK, Conn. — The proposal for Norwalk to purchase a $1.1 million plot of land near Mathews Mansion has progressed through the Planning and Zoning Commission. As previously reported, the proposal was voted through the Board of Estimate and Taxation and the Finance and Claims Committee. The 0.19-acre plot was originally slotted to be a 20-unit multifamily building. The City is now seeking to acquire 6 Butler Street from 6 Butler Properties LLC, which is owned by Belpointe Capital LLC.

NORWALK, Conn. – Two lawsuits involving Terzian Trucking Company are possibly reaching their conclusion as the Planning and Zoning Commission voted to approve a tentative settlement agreement with Westport resident Bryan Terzian. The commission found that the settlement is “mutually beneficial” and provides clarification for both parties to avoid future conflicts. Commissioner Louis Schulman said this was a prudent move due to the risks of a negative outcome if either lawsuit went to trial.
