BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The U.S. Marshals are now offering a $35,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Cesar Hernandez. Four months after inmate Cesar Hernandez escaped custody, he was found in Mexico. The State Force for Citizen’s Security, known as FESC, is the agency involved in a shootout with Hernandez. On April 9 at 1 p.m., in the Barcelona Neighborhood of southern Tijuana, 33-year-old agent Abigail Esparza Reyes died trying to apprehend 34-year-old Cesar Moises Hernandez.

The coroner’s office previously identified the woman as Adejda Elba Welsh Worrell, 59, of Bakersfield. According to officials, Worrell was found in an apartment in the 200 block of Universe Avenue on April 13, 2024. In a new release on Friday, the coroner’s office said Worrell was stabbed.
