Parts of the domestic terminal building at the Calgary airport are closed due to damage caused by hail and heavy rainfall. The Calgary International Airport said in a post on social media the work has started to clean up the water and assess the damage. However, parts of the domestic terminal will remain closed until further notice. "For the safety of all guests and staff, B gates and some C gates are being evacuated due to water damage," the airport said.

A 46-year-old man died in hospital the morning after being found unconscious in his room at a residential care facility and police in Hamilton, Ont., say autopsy results suggest the death was a homicide. Paramedics were called to Queen's Lodge, at 36 Queen St. S., at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The home is listed as a residential care facility by the Ontario Homes for Special Needs Association.

Days after a young child was reported missing in the Thames River in London, Ont., remains have been found, police said Sunday. The investigation has also been re-assigned to the major crimes section - police say the unit takes the lead for any investigations involving human remains. "At this time there is nothing to indicate that this is suspicious in any way," Const. Matthew Dawson said Sunday.

An off-duty officer was shot in the leg Saturday night after he recognized a suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder. That suspect is now facing an additional charge of attempted murder, as well as numerous weapons charges. The off-duty officer was in the area of Bathurst and King streets just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday when he saw the wanted man and called for on-duty officers to respond, police said.
