Getting players to come out and participate with the Trojans has often been a problem, with victories likewise hard to come by. Tara has just one victory in the last two seasons combined, but hopefully, the Trojans are starting to turn the corner. Tara feels good about their offensive line and a total of eight starters returning on offense overall.

Southern Lab head coach Darrell Asberry is now entering his seventh year leading the Kittens and says the standard of the program is to either reach the Superdome "or have an average season". Asberry says Lab loses 21 players off of last year's team, including 18 starters.
