(WFRV) — After the war in Ukraine began in 2022, the owner of Door County Candle Company, Christiana Trapani, knew she wanted to help. “I posted a video online that day, and I just kind of said like, we’re doing this fundraiser, I wanted to, you know, raise some money to help. All of the profits we just donated to a nonprofit helping those in Ukraine. And then from there, it just, it really took off,” Trapani said.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, and an integral and delicious part of a culture is food. On Green Bay’s west side, La Cabañita has roots thousands of miles away. Karen Cendejas’s dad is the owner of La Cabañita. “The name of this restaurant actually was inspired by his first restaurant in Mexico,” Cendejas said. A sister location of a restaurant across town, La Cabañita, or ‘The Little Cabin,’ has been open for almost a year now.
