Share OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A snowstorm hit the Midwest over the weekend, dumping over a foot of snow in southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri. But there was little to no snow for a majority of the First Alert 6 viewing area, including the Omaha metro. In fact, Falls City, Neb., received over a foot more snow than Dunbar, Neb. — two towns only 45 miles apart. The most snow recorded in our area was in Mound City, Missouri at 14 inches.

Since the in June, the day of the year with the most amount of sunlight, Omaha has lost 1 hour and 34 minutes of daylight. The Omaha area will continue to lose 2 to 3 minutes of sunlight a day through the next few months. But we don't lose the same amount each day!
