    Bunge North America Inc. is requesting an amendment to a air quality permit from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The Council Bluffs soybean processing plant at 19560 Bunge Ave. is proposing the replacement of its existing meal finishing baghouse, which removes dust and particulates from air streams. The DNR is accepting public comment on Project No. 25-133 through June 20. The permit is available for review at idnraqrr.iowadnr.gov/ConPermitSearch.

The initiatives funded include historic preservation, public safety, early child care and community development, according to a news release. The Southwest Iowa Foundations provides support to the community foundations serving Audubon, Cass, Crawford, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page and Shelby counties.
