COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Ikram Aliskerov learned a lot from his loss to Robert Whittaker, but admits the circumstances surrounding it were less than ideal. Ten months later, Aliskerov (15-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) says the defeat is difficult to process. The elements were working against him, considering he was days out from weigh-ing in when the promotion asked him to push back a week and fight Whittaker halfway across the world instead. Whittaker knocked out Aliskerov in less than two minutes.

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Edson Barboza is healthy and rearing to go once again. Initially scheduled for a Feb. 22 battle vs. Steve Garcia, Barboza (24-12 MMA, 18-12 UFC) withdrew from the fight due to an undisclosed injury. "Physically, I feel 100 percent," Barboza told MMA Junkie at American Top Team on Thursday. "I had an injury in my last fight on my eye. Thank God right now I'm clear. Let's go."Garica did not receive a replacement opponent and has not been booked since. Could a rebooking be in store?

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Mateusz Gamrot is itching for a UFC return, so much so that he's willing to take on high-risk, low-reward matchups. Not having fought since August, Gamrot (24-3 MMA, 13-0 UFC) has spent the past eight months processing his unanimous decision loss to Dan Hooker. With a few small adjustments, Gamrot thinks the fight could've had a different result. "The fight with Hooker was close but I learned a lot from this fight," Gamrot told MMA Junkie at American Top Team on Wednesday.
