    Reno High School students involved in the vandalism act on May 22 are no longer allowed to participate in their graduation ceremony, and will be suspended from classes for the rest of the year, according to the Washoe County School District. Videos posted to social media show young people, many masked, spray-painting the walls with obscenities and smashing windows, TVs and trophy cases. At least one swastika and racial slur were painted on the walls and floor.

    A third person has died after a fiery car crash May 25 on South McCarran Boulevard near Skyline Boulevard in south Reno, the Reno Police Department said. Multiple people were ejected during the single-vehicle crash just before 3:45 a.m. May 25, with police reporting that the vehicle was “fully engulfed in flames.” A good Samaritan stopped to pull several occupants away from the burning vehicle, according to police. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

    Washoe County's senior center has run into kitchen troubles since it closed for a three-month remodel last week, including frozen pipes, permitting issues and cold meals. Human Services coordinator Abby Badolato told the RGJ the senior center anticipated serving cold meals, most likely sandwiches for the first three days. Sandwiches are still being served a week after the closure. "We ran into some roadblocks," Badolato said.
