More than a few people probably wish they had $1.375 million to buy the historic Levy Mansion in downtown Reno to fill it with books. The home of the former, beloved Sundance Books and Music at 121 California Ave. is for sale. Reno High School students involved in the vandalism act on May 22 are no longer allowed to participate in their graduation ceremony, and will be suspended from classes for the rest of the year, according to the Washoe County School District. Videos posted to social media show young people, many masked, spray-painting the walls with obscenities and smashing windows, TVs and trophy cases. At least one swastika and racial slur were painted on the walls and floor.

The Washoe County School District is facing a budget shortfall of millions over the next two school years. At least one swastika and racial slur were painted on the walls and floor.
