ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Midland High alumn Bryce Hoppel will compete in the 800m Track & Field event on Thursday night. “Training is going incredible and I think having a second shot, I think we can hopefully make it better,” said Hoppel. Hoppel is hopeful he can make the United States Olympic team and believes he can win awards in the 2024 Summer Olympics. “I think this time, we’re geared up for hopefully getting a medal. I feel ready to go, I’m excited, it can’t come soon enough,” said Hoppel.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Former Permian Volleyball Player Jade Workman and her former Head Coach Gillian Herrera have known each other for many years. On Saturday they played their final Volleyball game together as a part of the second annual Permian Basin All-Star week. Coach Herrera had the first overall pick in the 2024 Permian Basin FCA All-Star draft and had no doubts who she would select. Over the week, Jade and Coach Herrera to work together in practices in preparation for todays game.

AUSTIN, Texas (KOSA) - The Coahoma Bulldogettes Softball team won their second straight State Championship by defeating the Grandview Lady Zebras 3-2. Coahoma fell behind two runs but answered in the second inning when Bree Lewis hit a two-run single scoring Brynn Rodgers. Both teams were held scoreless past the seventh inning. In the top of the eighth Coahoma’s Brynn Rodgers added a go-ahead RBI double to score courtesy runner Abi Bose from first.
