AUSTIN, Texas (KOSA) - The Coahoma Bulldogettes won their third-straight 3A State Championship on Thursday after defeating Lexington 6-1. The team was ranked #1 in the State throughout 2025; going undefeated in the regular season. 2025 is the programs fourth straight trip to the State Championship. In 2023 they defeated Santa Gertrudis Academy, in 2024 they took down Grandview. Senior, and Texas commit Hannah Wells put on a show in her final game as a Bulldogette.

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - On Friday, former Midland Legacy Football standouts Chris and Colin Brazzell along with family members helped host “Brazzell Boys Funday.” Children from the community had the chance to enjoy food, basketball, water slides, face painting and much more. “We wanted to find some type of way to give back to the community,” said Chris Brazzell. “What better way than to do it through the church, and with the kids, I used to come to this church when I was little so it makes sense.

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Sources confirmed that former Midland College basketball head coach Tra Arnold has died. Arnold has led the Chaps for the past three seasons before stepping away during the 2024-25 season due to health reasons. In Arnold’s first season with the Chaps (2022-23), he led the team to a 28-7 record while heading to their first national tournament in 12 seasons after winning the Region V tournament.

ANDREWS, Texas (KOSA) - The Andrews Lady Mustangs are prepared to play in the 4A State Semifinal round against Sulpher Springs. Game One is set for Thursday night while games two and possibly three are scheduled for Saturday in Graham. Andrews ISD will hold its senior graduation on Friday. The district hosted a special graduation ceremony for the senior softball players due to their playoff games in Graham.

NEWTON, Texas (KOSA) - The Midland College Men’s Golf team won the 2025 NJCAA Division 1 Championship. The Chaps finished with a +6 which was first. Odessa College finished in second place. Midland College Freshman Harrison Sewell shot 71-69-72-75 in his four rounds finishing with a total of 287. Over four rounds the Chaps shot 1,158 strokes. Copyright 2025 KOSA. All rights reserved.
