Mia Clemmer opened things up at the top of the first with an RBI double for the game’s first score. However, the Eagles would respond with a run themselves thanks to an RBI single.

    AUSTIN, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Andrews Lady Mustangs could not get the job done in their first state title appearance, losing to the Calallen Wildcats 9-2. Calallen had it going their way on the mound, allowing one hit and nine strikeouts through the first five innings. It wasn’t until the 7th inning that the Mustangs scored their only two runs off an error and an RBI single. Andrews had six seniors graduating this year as they look to come back stronger next season for another state title run.
