A man has been charged with murder after the death of a four-month-old baby in the state’s northwest. Last month, The Daily Telegraph reported the four-month-old was staying with a relative in the regional town of Gunnedah before allegedly being returned unconscious to his mum, who rushed the child to hospital in a critical condition. The baby was airlifted from Gunnedah to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, where he later died.

Millions of loyal customers of Australia’s biggest bank are set to be slugged a $3 fee when they make a withdrawal – in a move that has sparked nationwide outrage. Commonwealth Bank accounted on Tuesday a new $3 withdrawal fee will be imposed every time one of its “Smart Access Account” holders want to take out cash at a branch, post office or over the phone.

Paramedics were called to Henry St on Saturday evening following reports a “school-aged child” was hit by a car. “NSW Ambulance officers arrived on scene around 5.50pm,” a spokesman said. “The patient is reportedly suffering head and leg injuries.
