A conceptual framework based on the Family Stress Model underpins this study, positing that economic hardship can indirectly affect children’s well-being through increased parental stress [14]. This model suggests that financial stress leads to psychological distress in parents, which may reduce their ability to provide consistent care, consequently impacting children’s mental health.

We framed a cross-sectional study, built on self-report measures. Pregnant women of 18 years old and above were recruited from all the Lebanese governorates (i.e., Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North, South and Bekaa) during June and July 2021. They were asked to fill out an online questionnaire, shared on social media networks (e.g., WhatsApp and Facebook), and spread it among other pregnant women as well. Anonymity was guaranteed.

The sample consisted of 423 participants, with a mean age of 38.13 ± 11.03 years and 61.2% women. Other characteristics and description of the scores can be found in Table 1. We conducted a cross-sectional study between June and July 2021 in all Lebanese governorates (Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North, South, and Bekaa). Due to the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, the data were gathered through snowball sampling using an online questionnaire.

To our knowledge, and despite the prevalence of HPV infections, there is no prior research that has focused on the information and attitudes toward HPV among minors in Lebanon. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted a study that directly examined HPV awareness and vaccination rates among Lebanese secondary school students.
