She's posted a series of updates since the explosion left her family's home in ruin, her daughters worried, and her husband undergoing surgery, with bad burns in the hospital. "I have tried to remain strong as I know it is one day at a time and sometimes it is just one minute at a time," she wrote.

AUSTIN (Nexstar) — Tariffs applied by the President primarily affect international shipping, and with Texas being responsible for around 20% of U.S. exports, increased fees will impact the state. As of Friday afternoon, the U.S. has a flat 10% tariff on foreign imports. The sole exception is China — the U.S. has a 145% tariff on Chinese imports, while China has a 125% tariff on U.S. imports.

AUSTIN (KXAN)- President Trump is lowering tariffs for imported goods to 10% for all countries, except China. That tariff rate for Chinese good imports has gone up to 125%. And it's something that will be felt here in Austin with a number of Chinese American businesses. KXAN spoke with shoppers and businesses in China Town in north Austin. It's a center with more than 35 Asian restaurants and shops. It's been a cultural hub for many Asian businesses for nearly two decades, according to its website.
