San Antonio accounting firms employ almost 400 local certified public accountants and over 2,500 local employees. The small number of locally-based CPAs highlights a bigger trend of a labor shortage in the industry. In terms of local CPAs, ATKG Advisors led the way with 59 as part of their local staff. KPMG LLP was the only other firm to report more than 50 local CPAs, with RSM US LLP coming close with 46 CPAs on staff.
