COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KOAA) — Due to recent heavy rainfall and potential for hazardous conditions, the Seven Bridges Trail has been temporarily closed, according to the Pikes Peak Ranger District. The trail is in North Cheyenne Cañon Park, which is located west of The Broadmoor. At this time, it is unclear when the trail will reopen.

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KOAA) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is hosting a community open house for input on the Highway 115 Cañon City through Florence Safety Improvements and Resurfacing project. The project will repave the first 14 miles from the intersection of Highway 115 and Highway 50 in Cañon City to the interchange near Penrose. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting to provide feedback on the project.

PALMER LAKE, Colo. (KOAA) — Palmer Lake Mayor Glant Havenar has resigned from her post, according to Palmer Lake Board of Trustees member Shana Ball. While Ball said no official reason was given for the resignation, the move comes amid ongoing controversy over a Buc-ee's that has been proposed for the town on land southwest of I-25 and County Line Road. Just last week, the Board of Trustees voted that the land is eligible for annexation.
