MILWAUKEE — White New Balances, cargo shorts, and Hawaiian shirts. I'm talking about dad fashion at Summerfest. Would the younger generation at Summerfest say that all the dads ate? Maybe. At least, I think they did. On a seriously hot day, dad fashion could be seen all over the festival grounds. Loose fighting shirts, sun shirts, cargo shorts to fit everything you could ever need, comfy grilling shoes, breathable keen hiking shoes, it was all on display Saturday.

The Well Red Damsel, located on North Ave, was started by longtime book lover Natasha Meyer and will celebrate its grand opening weekend on June 21 and 22.

Cole Blockel, a 16-year-old student at St. Charles, has discovered a passion for gardening through the program. "I had helped plant and water and just started from the ground up and do everything," Blockel said.

MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin's first-ever padel ball court has opened in Milwaukee, bringing a globally popular sport to Milwaukee. Padel MKE, located on the city's south side, gives people the chance to the play the sport that is a cross between tennis, racquet ball, and pickleball. Padel is already popular across South America and Europe. A few quick notes on the sport. The game is played on a court roughly the size of a pickleball court. Players use what is essentially a tennis ball.

MILWAUKEE — There are many great neighborhoods in and around Milwaukee like downtown Waukesha, Harambee, Layton Park, and the Hindu community of Pewaukee. They are all full of dedicated community members. But the neighbors of Clarke Square in Milwaukee are especially proud. “So Clarke Square neighborhood is, I think, one of the best neighborhoods in the city of Milwaukee,” Kevin Kuschel, the executive director of the Clarke Square Neighborhood Association, said.
