Kellam’s girls soccer team reached that pinnacle last season by capturing its first VHSL state title since 2005. The Knights are always a power, but graduating 11 seniors from that championship-winning roster would make it reasonable to expect a bit of a rebuild.

We opened the first two days hearing Williamsburg native Mike Green and Portsmouth native Charles Grant head to the Baltimore Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders, respectfully. WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — William & Mary was determined to build its men’s gymnastics program back up to a prominent place. This season, they did just that. The Tribe competed in the NCAA national championships as the 12th ranked team in the country. Although they didn’t win it all, they set a school record with five standouts competing in event finals. It’s also the first time the Tribe competed at the national championships as a team since 2021, and only the ninth time in program history.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va (WAVY) — Lafayette High School Football is well-represented in this year’s NFL Draft. Former Marshall Defensive End Mike Green is a potential lottery pick in the 2025 draft, but his Rams teammate, Tyler Neville, has an inspirational journey to potentially hearing his name called too. Neville didn’t pick up high school football until his Junior year, but excelled at it to the highest degree. Clearly.
