    The Broncos started their NFL Draft weekend by going with defense in the first round, taking cornerback Jahdae Barron at No. 20. Denver went on that side of the ball to start their work on day three, as well, picking edge rusher Que Robinson out of Alabama at No. 134. #Broncos fans got an NFL-ready, versatile pass rush weapon in Que Robinson. Que was a special teams ace for Alabama early in his career, and developed into a versatile EDGE/LB pass rusher who can work on all three downs.

    Heading into the offseason, the Broncos had a checklist of needs. On offense, it was all about skill-position players. Denver needed a running back. They needed a wide receiver. And they needed a tight end. During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Broncos checked all three boxes. In the second round, they took running back R.J. Harvey out of Central Florida. One round later, Denver grabbed wideout Pat Bryant from Illinois. In the seventh round, the grabbed a tight end.

    Would the Broncos trade up? That’s what Sean Payton would want to do, said the experts. Would Denver move back? That’s what George Paton would prefer, said the draftniks. At the end of the day, both camps were wrong. Ultimately, the Broncos would stand pat, making their pick at No. 20 in the first round. Thus, the only intrigue remaining was surrrounding what position Denver would target. They need a running back. They could use another wideout and/or tight end.
