Breckenridge has a new full-time police officer. This past Monday, Ryan Halverson was sworn in during the City Council meeting. The police department is also gearing up to move their offices from the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) into City Hall. The end of this past summer saw the completion of a big project involving road improvements in the Twin Towns. Central Specialties Inc. of Alexandria, Minnesota helped to complete nearly 110 city blocks of road improvements. With election day nearing, Measure 4 has been a hot topic of discussion. The measure would abolish property taxes based on assessed value of property. For the school district in Wyndmere, North Dakota, projects remain in limbo until an outcome on Measure 4 is decided.
