    WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Our viewing area is under a Level 1 Marginal risk of severe weather today. Isolated storms that could bring damaging gusts, hail and an isolated tornado are possible. This morning, most of the rain is north of Okeechobee and is moving east. Parts of southern Indian River County and northern St. Lucie County could get some showers as you start your day. We'll start to see these storms ramp up at around 1 p.m., mostly in the Palm Beach County area.

Today will start out with partly sunny skies. Temps will warm up quickly with a southwest wind flow, reaching the low/mid 90s by the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will fire up again in the late afternoon.

Highs today will hover around 90 degrees, with temperatures dropping in the lower to mid-70s tonight. The heat index will feel near the triple digits. WPTV First Alert Weather forecast, morning of May 29, 2025 Palm Beach County could see some spotty showers during lunchtime. At around 7:30 p.m., we could get some stronger storms around Vero Beach.

By around noon, we’ll see some pop-up thunderstorms along the coast from Port St. Lucie down to the Palm Beaches that will start to press westward before fizzling out. Inland areas around Okeechobee could get a round of storms during dinnertime hours. Highs today will mainly be in the upper 80s near thanks to a sea breeze over our area, and will reach 90 degrees further inland.
