A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was killed in a violent crash caught on camera Tuesday evening in a residential neighborhood near Shenandoah Park. The incident happened just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Avenue and 19th Street. According to an arrest report, 36-year-old Andres Fiallo Estupinan was behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Passat that was going south at a high rate of speed.

A family is heartbroken and pleading for help after a 76-year-old woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run while walking to the grocery store in Liberty City. Koritza Ortiz was crossing the street near NW 7th Avenue and 60th Street, just west of I-95, around 8:30 Monday morning when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. The driver never stopped. Her son, Daniel Garcia Ortiz, said he last spoke to his mother the night before. "We were actually going to go out today.

The remaining residents at a Sweetwater mobile home park say they are getting sick and are left without electricity as they fight to keep their homes. The complaints come as demolition crews are already tearing down homes just days after hundreds of families at Li'l Abner Mobile Home Park received eviction notices. On Friday night, several residents were without power after a transformer was damaged. It's one of a few issues neighbors are complaining about since demolition started.
