(CBS12) — Thursday afternoon officers with the Port St Lucie Police Department were seen on patrol, at the intersection of Glades Cut Off Road and Commerce Centre Drive to make sure drivers are obeying all signs and signals. The intersection has been a focus area for traffic enforcement lately especially after an elderly couple died following a car crash that occurred on Memorial Day.

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Indian River County Sheriff's Officials have released the bodycam video of the moments leading up to the takedown of two men who crossed county lines to commit a crime. According to reports, Reinaldo Merin, 31, and Juan Prieto Morena, 34, of Miami used a ladder to gain access to the roof of the Indian River Mall Sunday in an attempt to steal copper.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach County woman has been arrested and accused of orchestrating a fraud scheme and exploiting more than 50 victims across the country. Kadesa Sayles, 29, is who officials believe is the mastermind behind the nationwide SIM swap scam. She is accused of hijacking phone numbers in an effort to steal personal information and make unauthorized financial transactions.
