Thursday afternoon, the Children’s Healing Institute, a local social services organization that provides resources and support to children including those from immigrant families, held it's 20th annual Turn on the Light conference at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach. The educational workshops and presentations focused on child and family health and well-being, including strategies, research, practices, therapeutic approaches, and advocacy.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida House of Representatives has proposed a five-billion dollar tax relief for residents, but plans on how and where that relief will be seen is causing commotion. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to use that relief to reduce property taxes. In a press conference in Orlando Monday, he proposed a plan which would offer a one-thousand-dollar rebate for Homestead homeowners.

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — Twenty-seven people across 20 vape stores in Martin County have been arrested for selling vaping products to minors. The operation, dubbed “Operation Smoke Signals,” was initiated by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in response to parental concerns about children's access to these products. The purpose of the operation was to prevent minors from accessing dangerous products by holding those who sell them accountable.

JUPITER, Fla. — Several Palm Beach County residents came together to honor the life of Rico Roundtree, a young Jupiter athlete who died just days ago in an E-bike crash. Family and friends released balloons Sunday afternoon in remembrance of Rico Roundtree, a young boy whose life was taken too soon. The 12-year-old athlete was killed in an E-bike accident Thursday after a car crashed into him in Jupiter. The unexpected tragedy has forced broken hearts to offer heartfelt farewells.
