Video above is previous coverage. NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Friday, April 11 Norfolk Tides game against the Gwinnett Stripers is a rainout. The game will now be part of a single admission doubleheader Saturday, April 12. The Tides announced the first game will start at 5:35 p.m. Gates will open at 4 p.m.The doubleheader will feature two seven inning games. If you had a parking receipt for Friday’s game, you can use it for any future game, the Tides said.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Drivers experienced delays on I-64 in Virginia Beach Friday afternoon near the Providence Road Overpass due to police activity. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, all west lanes were closed near mile marker 286.9, which is near the Indian River Road West exit, while police investigated. A separate traffic alert from VDOT said eastbound lanes near mile marker 286.2 were closed.

The incident unfolded on Jan. 24. According to police, around 9:45 p.m., officers in the third precinct noticed a car with obstructed plates. They pulled the driver over near Lake Edward. Once the vehicle stopped, the driver got out and ran into a wooded area, where he then went into the water.

TOULOUSE, France – Olivier Murat was at the Stadium de Toulouse in southwest France April 6 for a rugby game. He was recording as parachutists approached the open stadium. His video captured the moment one of the French Air Force parachutists was blown off course and got stuck on the roof during the pregame display. Firefighters were called in to help free the airman. Once on the ground, he received an ovation.
