(WAVY) — Thieves are finding license plates more valuable these days, and some residents in the Harbour View area of northern Suffolk found out the hard way as they awoke on a recent morning to find their tags missing. “My car was facing out, so I did not notice it right away,” said resident Anna Guibas.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A family said their wound has been reopened after the man who hit and killed 8-year-old Forrest Hooper in Chesapeake in 2023 was granted a motion in Circuit Court to have his five-year jail sentence reconsidered. The victim’s family says this is tough news to take in. Man sentenced to 5 years for fatal hit-and-run of Chesapeake 8-year-old “Our family, our hearts were just getting to the point where it can start to mend,” said Cindy Lutz, the boy’s mother.
