THAILAND — A University of Oklahoma graduate who’s been living and working in Thailand has been arrested and charged with defamation. The allegation is that he insulted the monarchy. I talked to his mom, Peggy Chambers, who teaches at OU. I asked Peggy how she was holding up. “Not good, but you see me sitting here. I do my job, show up, been grading essays,” Peggy said. Peggy’s been teaching college students at OU since 1980. Right now, she’s a mom worried about her son.

TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — I looked into a tip about playground material, recycled rubber, that’s floating in a nearby waterway at LaFortune Park in Tulsa County. Aaron Walton said he came to LaFortune Park with his dog to look in the water for crawdads. "I always grew up, you know, in this area, and would come down here and just hunt for crawdads as a kid," Walton said. Instead of crawdads, he saw blue stuff in the water. "It’s recycled rubber," Walton said.

TULSA, Okla. — You’ve been complaining about broken escalators at Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa. I first reported on the problem in early February, and now I’m following up. When people walk into Woodland Hills Mall and try to go up a floor, or down, they often see a barricaded, broken escalator and a sign that says, “Temporarily out of service. We apologize for the inconvenience.”Mark Bonney said he first started seeing the problem after the pandemic.

In a FOX23 follow-up Investigation, a big shake up for Oklahomans who work in the TV and film industry. Their Teamsters Local Union 886 has been taken over by the one in California. Movies like Killers of the Flower Moon, Reagan and Minari were all filmed in Oklahoma. “It is one of the best things for this state, the amount of money that it brings in and brings exposure in, is phenomenal,” said Tulsan Susan Dale. Dale worked in the TV and film industry.

In a FOX23 Investigation, the EPA answers questions on health concerns at a Bristow Superfund site. Glen Jones showed Tulsa's Investigative Reporter Janna Clark where he saw black sludge oozing up in his parents' yard in Bristow. He said the black gunk was so massive, a truck got stuck. "I parked a U-Haul truck, and it fell down...there was a cave in the ground. Both tires...went into the ground...there was a deep hole, and it had all that black gunk in it," Glen said.
