EUGENE, Ore. — It has been three years in the making but junior left-handed pitcher Grayson Grinsell further cemented himself as one of the best pitchers in program history by twirling his first complete game. In front of a near sellout crowd at PK Park, Grinsell threw all nine innings against the No. 10 UCLA Bruins in a 2-1 victory, setting a career-high in innings pitched and giving the Ducks their first top-10 victory since 2023.

No. 16 Oregon baseball is fresh off a 3-1 east coast road trip and returns home to PK Park for a pivotal three game series against No. 10 UCLA. First pitch from LHP Grayson Grinsell is scheduled for 5:05 PM PT between the Ducks and Bruins. Oregon sits in third place in the Big Ten standings at 12-6 as they welcome first place UCLA (12-3) to the friendly confines of PK Park.

For former Oregon football players and others around the country, each stage has been completed on the way to the next level. Oregon players have gone through NFL Scouting Combine workouts, Pro Day workouts, and interviews at both events and now await hearing their name called during the 2025 NFL Draft. The draft is now less than a week away, with round one beginning on Thursday, April 24th. Rounds 2-7 will be completed from April 25 to 26.

Oregon's backup punter, Luke Dunne, became the latest member of the 2025 Ducks to enter the transfer portal. For the Oregon Ducks, the spring transfer portal window has been relatively quiet. On Friday morning, punter Luke Dunne became the second Oregon player to enter the spring transfer portal, joining former cornerback Rodrick Pleasant. Dunne becomes the first specialist to hit the portal during this window. 247Sports' Matt Zenitz was the first to report the news of Dunne's entrance.

Throughout the 2025 offseason, concerns about Oregon's secondary have been well-documented. Oregon returns exactly zero players from their starting secondary in the Rose Bowl, as all have hit the limits of their eligibility and will either see themselves in an NFL camp this summer or fall or not. Oregon, Dan Lanning, and secondary coach Chris Hampton have done their part in recruiting, both in the high school ranks and in the transfer portal.
