(WHTM) — You may see a low-flying helicopter in parts of central Pennsylvania Thursday. A Bell OH58 C with a tail number N656HA that’s grey and has red and blue stripes will be spraying for black flies on multiple area creeks, a Facebook post by York County’s Office of Emergency Management shows. The helicopter will be releasing a bacterial larvicide, Vectobac 12AS, that is used in the state’s waterways for black flies suppression.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WHTM) — The son of Penn State’s Men’s Ice Hockey Head Coach will be joining the Nittany Lions. Hobey Baker award finalist Mac Gadowsky will be playing next year for Penn State after previously playing for Army, Penn State Men’s Hockey posted on social media. Mac, who is currently a sophomore, will be playing under his father, Guy Gadowsky, who became the head coach during the 2011-12 year for the Nittany Lions .

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man who was fired from his job in Carlisle allegedly came back to the business with a chainsaw, threatened employees, and damaged property, police said. Workers at Carlisle Construction Materials, located at 1509 Ritner Highway, reported they ran out of the plant when they saw Richard Sauder, 46, of Elliotsburg, allegedly swinging the chainsaw, the criminal complaint filed Wednesday by Carlisle Borough Police shows.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Nearly a year later, murder charges were filed in a crash where three construction workers on I-83 in York County were hit and killed by a truck. Court documents filed Wednesday show Reed Davenport, 25, of Maryland, faces charges of murder in the third degree, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, and other charges.
