TUCSON, Arizona — "Inside, he's got the heart of a lion," said Arizona sprinter and and relays coach Francesca Green. Trayvion White-Austin grew up in Tucson and was close to his sister, Zamya. He would run at Roy Drachman track for the Tucson Elite Athletic Club, and then he took his talents to Sahuaro High School. "In high school was the first time I saw his talents," added Green, who is a family friend.

TUCSON, Arizona — Saturday was Military Appreciation Night at Hi Corbett Field. We've seen paratroopers land perfectly before at University of Arizona football games, but with winds approaching 20 miles an hour, things didn't go as planned at the ballpark. Prior to the first pitch, a paratrooper carrying a University of Arizona flag descends from the sky but makes a hard landing on the outfield grass. Someone rushes to his side as the paratrooper doesn't immediately get up.

TUCSON, Arizona — The Arizona Board of Regents approved a one-year extension of Wildcat basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd through the 2029-30 season. Lloyd's salary of $5,100,000 for this coming season (April 1 - March 31) will jump to $5,850,000 in the 2029-30 season. That number doesn't include his agreement with Nike or Arizona Sports Enterprises, which are each $200,000. Additionally, three of his assistant coaches will each receive three-year contracts.

TUCSON, Arizona — Arizona Wildcats men's basketball players KJ Lewis, Henri Veesaar, and Emmanuel Stephen have reportedly hit the transfer portal and will play elsewhere in 2025-26. Lewis, a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard, averaged 10.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 25.9 minutes per game for Arizona this season. He battled a right wrist injury most of the season and shot just 18.8% from the 3-point line.
