Wittenmyer & Williams is a regular point/counterpoint column from Enquirer Reds reporter Gordon Wittenmyer and sports columnist Jason Williams. This week, they debate who the Reds should trade in this seemingly lost season. Williams: You mentioned in a recent Press Box Wag column that the Reds should be sellers at the trade deadline. That column was a load of crap. It wasn’t even Memorial Day yet. Wittenmyer: Well, was I wrong? Williams: Turns out, no, you weren’t.

It took an outsider with a fresh perspective, an elected leader not beholden to old-guard Cincinnati, to make this decision.

Email: [email protected]: Joe Burrow misses Cincinnati Bengals practice for Met GalaMessage: Call me old school, but I didn’t like that (Joe) Burrow missed the team’s practice to be at the Met Gala. I get it’s optional, but Tee (Higgins) and Ja’Marr (Chase) were there.
