    An American Airlines flight leaving SFO on Friday reportedly had an issue in its left engine on takeoff, which caused a puff of smoke to come out of it, and debris was left on the runway. The aircraft continued on to Dallas and landed without incident, and debris from a thrust-reverser liner was later found in the engine.     SF Animal Care and Control was called out to the Chase Center Sunday after a report of some baby raccoons trapped behind some exterior paneling. It's not clear where the mama raccoon went off to, or if the three baby raccoons were seeking food, shelter, or both. But they managed to squeeze themselves through a gap in some wall panels at the Chase Center and then couldn't get out.

    This year's Portola Festival lineup is filled with major names in the contemporary EDM scene, but also a couple big names older Millennials will know too, like Christina Aguilera and LCD Soundsystem. We knew the lineup announcement was coming after the Portola social media accounts came alive again last week, and we now have the reveal for the fourth annual iteration of this electro-heavy festival on Pier 80, which is happening the weekend before Folsom Street Fair this year.

    There was a rash of gun violence over the weekend in Oakland while the Bay Area experienced some especially warm weather, culminating in a fatal shooting Sunday night just before midnight in Oakland's Uptown district. The first of four shootings, which all happened within a 24-hour period on Sunday, happened around 1:15 am near the Fox Theater, in the area of 19th Street and Telegraph Avenue in Oakland's Uptown.
