    Ange Postecoglou said James Maddison is "fine" despite being substituted after a heavy clash with Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos on Thursday. Maddison went down in the 38th minute of Spurs' 1-0 victory (3-2 on aggregate) in Germany, following a collision with Santos which saw the visitors awarded a penalty. The midfielder attempted to run onto a long ball by Cristian Romero, when the onrushing goalkeeper mistimed his challenge, his torso clashing with the head of Maddison.

    Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli believes Christian Norgaard should have been sent off for a "nasty" tackle on Saturday, but Brentford's captain says there was "no evil intention" in the challenge. The tackle came 28 minutes into Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Brentford, near the halfway line. As Martinelli tried to get around Norgaard on the touchline, the Brentford midfielder caught the winger with his right leg before wrapping around his left.

After recovering from an awful start which saw Hugo Ekitike give Frankfurt the lead after six minutes, Spurs dominated the Bundesliga side and equalised through Pedro Porro's clever backheel.

One of the best performances Spurs have produced in a while but the tie is level at 1-1 Bergvall and Bentancur hit the woodwork while Santos made some great saves from van de Ven and Son? Will they regret those missed chances?
