Initial approval: $59.01M 2025-26 budgetCouncil unanimously approved the first of two readings for an ordinance establishing a $59.01 million total operating budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 that requires no property tax increase. The proposed budget reflects an increase in anticipated revenues due to growth of more than 8%, according to City Administrator Andy Merriman.

A memorial honoring the life and legacy of Greenville conservation pioneer Tommy Wyche was officially unveiled May 23 during a gathering of family, friends and fellow conservationists at River Lodge in Falls Park. The stone marker overlooks the park behind the United Community headquarters building at 220 E. Camperdown Way and was dedicated by the Wyche family, Naturaland Trust and the Wyche law firm.
